"Barely not a house church"
Hello, and welcome to our website! ACF is a Christian community committed to honoring Jesus Christ through our lives, strengthening each other in faith, love, and knowledge, and creating opportunities for visitors and friends to investigate the bold claims and adventurous calling of Jesus Christ. We desire to purposefully live out the "kingdom of God" as Jesus described it, aspiring to be a community that takes seriously the two greatest commandments: loving God and loving everyone else.
Originally a house church, most of our meetings are now held at Bridge House in Milwaukie, Oregon, where we rent space from a gracious host church community. Still, we consider ourselves a "house church" at heart.
The following is a brief description of a typical week:
On Sundays we usually meet at 11:00 A.M. for a regular service devoted to praise, prayer, the study of Scripture and other topics, the building of relationships, and the celebration of communion, usually followed by a meal.
At other times during the week: See the calendar for our various activities- special study forums, group sing/prayer/share events, and Men's and Women's groups that meet for personal accountability, exhortation, recreation, and encouragement as well as other activities designed to help encourage discipleship and spiritual growth. Check the calendar for specific times and locations.
